American Kenpo Karate International Members

The schools listed in this Web site belong to Paul Mills’ American Kenpo Karate International (AKKI) association. Today. there are over 175 schools and clubs affiliated with the AKKI.

After Mr. Parker's passing many associations were formed by Mr. Parker's senior students. They tried to preserve his American Kenpo as it was last written in his journals and books. This created the need for an instructor and association that would continue Mr. Parker's example of innovation and evolution.

In September of 1997. Paul Mills’ senior students and instructors asked him to form an association that valued innovation and creativity. After a unanimous decision by his students. Mr. Mills agreed to make the American Kenpo Karate International an official association.

The instructors in the association now teach the martial arts system often referred to as "AKKI Kenpo". The complete Kenpo system includes many updated empty hand techniques. sets. drills. and forms as well as a complete knife and club system based on the principles and specialized internalization patterns not found in any other martial art.
